The Lunch Set. Soon to be part of an extraordinary collaborative put together by the incredibly talented @graham.interiors for @thestudio_dallas, a major annual fundraiser for @dwellwithdignity in Dallas. Top interior designers create curated, high-end vignettes which are sold over a month long pop-up. Occasionally, a project comes along that truly piques my interest. My enthusiasm for mid century modern design drove me to create this piece when a wonderful client couple asked me to design art for their newly renovated condo in a mid century high-rise building in the heart of Dallas. The celebrated architect Howard Meyer worked alongside an Austrian-born sculptor Erwin Hauser, distinguished for his work in architectural sculpture and modernist design.
His most celebrated works include continuous surface sculptures — refined, geometric patterns often employed as architectural walls or screens known as brise soliel. The outcome? Enchanting shadows and enticing forms.

I have an infatuation with grids. I love the rigid structure they provide, yet I am constantly attempting to push the boundaries of the compartmentally confined spaces. This piece sums me up in a nut shell. I am the eternal rule follower that tends to want to break all the rules. I love to layer painted ground with fibrous paper and even more paint. There’s something magical that happens in this organic process that allows me create a visually dynamic tactile composition.
