I started with color, marks, and movement, then covered parts of it in this deep, moody blue- black. What I love are the little windows that remain — the bright pieces peeking through, almost like memories or light coming through the dark. It feels abstract, but also personal. A little mysterious, a little hopeful, and meant to be the statement in a room.“ - Nikki Stinson

Soon to be part of an extraordinary collaborative put together by the incredibly talented @graham.interiors for @thestudio_dallas, a major annual fundraiser for @dwellwithdignity in Dallas. Top interior designers create curated, high-end vignettes which are sold over a month long pop-up. Occasionally, a project comes along that truly piques my interest. My enthusiasm for mid century modern design drove me to create this piece when a wonderful client couple asked me to design art for their newly renovated condo in a mid century high-rise building in the heart of Dallas. The celebrated architect Howard Meyer worked alongside an Austrian-born sculptor Erwin Hauser, distinguished for his work in architectural sculpture and modernist design.
His most celebrated works include continuous surface sculptures — refined, geometric patterns often employed as architectural walls or screens known as brise soliel. The outcome? Enchanting shadows and enticing forms.
